چکیده
In this study, heat and flow in a four cylinder direct injection diesel engine combustion chamber has been simulated by using AVL Fire ESE Diesel. order to clarify the effect of geometry on area prop-erties, bowl geometric shape two different pistons, one as standard, was taken into account analysis. Standard modified geometries have compared. The simulation results showed that shapes chambers are quite effective temperature-spray droplet distribution, turbu-lence kinetic energy distributions, turbulence velocity distributions laminar flame speed at end compression stroke. fuel reaches wall more easily then, temperature distribution cham-ber is lower result evaporation with chamber. Average turbulent value MCC type 10.53 m²/s², standard 8.35 m²/s² 720° CA. Turbulence spread over wider geometry. As re-sult large turbulence, also increased

A computational study aiming to investigate the effect of combustion chamber geometry on combustion process and emission has been carried out in a direct injection diesel engine. The combustion process and emission of three different combustion chamber geometries were considered, and combustion process behaviors such as variation of mean pressure, velocity, heat release rate, emission productio...
